At the same time, following the existing rules and regulations regarding opening of shops, markets and shopping malls in the coming month of Ramadan; Restrict the use of AC in shopping malls, department stores and other commercial establishments during Iftar and Tarabi; Inspect the internal electrical equipment of the market for all shop owners; The meeting also decided to conduct mobile court and take legal action if necessary to ensure its / equipment marketing as per BSTI standards.

At the meeting, Bangladesh Power Development Board presented a long power point on electricity demand, power generation and distribution. The meeting also said that the demand for electricity could be 15,500 MW during peak hours this summer and the potential demand for gas could be 1,500 mmcfd.
