The Houthis have attacked the port of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia
Yemen’s Huthi Ansar al-Qaeda backed military has launched a fresh offensive against Saudi Arabia. The attack comes in protest of the Saudi-led coalition’s brutal military offensive in Yemen since 2015.
It is said that this (Saturday) morning, the Yemeni army carried out a drone attack targeting the port of Jeddah in the Red Sea. The port of Jeddah is located 845 kilometers south of the capital Riyadh.
The Saudi Defense Ministry said in a post published on their Twitter page that the country’s air defense unit had repulsed and destroyed an air target of the enemy. However, the ministry did not provide details.
Earlier on Wednesday, Yemeni forces attacked King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia. The Yemeni military used home-made Kasef IIK drones in the attack.
Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries have violated the ceasefire at least 210 times in the past 24 hours in the coastal province of Hudaydah.
